Strengthening Climate-Resilient Communities in South Sumatra

PROKLIM PROJECT IN SOUTH SUMATERA

We locally driven climate action by strengthening the capacity of rural communities to adapt on climate change and sustainably manage natural resources. PROKLIM Project stands for Strengthening Village-Based Climate Action and Livelihoods (PROKLIM) in South Sumatra Province, Indonesia engages 100 target villages across 10 regencies to promote climate resilience, sustainable livelihoods, and environmental protection. Here are the regencies for our efforts, Ogan Ilir, Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir, Musi Rawas, Musi Rawas Utara, Banyuasin, Musi Banyuasin, Ogan Komering Ulu Timur, Ogan Komering Ilir, Empat Lawang and Prabumulih City.

PT. SUCOFINDO as implementing partner PROKLIM Project by UNOPS and Ministry of Environment (MoE) Indonesia, as well as working in collaboration with government institutions, civil society, and the private sector. We bridge community action in adaptation and mitigation for climate change, also encourage gender and social inclusion for climate resilience initiatives and livelihood opportunities by community-based in South Sumatra Province.
